Upcoming Solo Exhibition
I am incredibly honored to be invited by CIRCA: Queer Histories Festival and The William Grant Still Art Center (WGSAC) in West Adams to host my next solo show.
Making Time • October 7th - November 4th
The William Grants Still Art Center
Making Time is a mixed media exhibition by artist Bianca Nozaki-Nasser that uses dreaming to restore queer time in the archive. The works use a speculative methodological approach as an invitation to build a more liberated present and future.
A Space for Radical Art
Since WGSAC’s founding in 1977 it has welcomed radical artists, community organizers, and cultural workers.

🎼 WGSAC is named for the late Dr. William Grant Still (1895-1978), the highly acclaimed Black composer who lived in the West Adams neighborhood.
🖼 WGSAC is home to the mural “Troubled Island,” created by artist Noni Olabisi. The mural tells the story of the 1791 slave rebellion in Haiti which inspired William Grant Still's opera. Olabisi began the Center's mural in December 2002 and completed the project in August 2003 with assistance from artist and Black Panther Charles "Boko" Freeman.
🪆 One of WGSA’s most notable programs is The Black Doll exhibition. It was originally curated by Cecil Fergerson in response to the famous 1940s doll test and has continued to run for over 40 years.
