Hi all,
Thanks for being patient with the newsletter for the past few weeks. I’ve been in the middle of some big transitions while I’ve been producing and prepping for my opening this weekend! Making Time opens this Saturday, October 7th, and runs until November 4th. If you are in the LA area I would love to see you there.
Until next week,
Bianca
Making Time • Opening Reception October 7th, 3pm - 6pm
The William Grants Still Art Center
One Institute and The William Grant Still Art Center for CIRCA: Queer Histories Festival present Making Time, by Bianca Nozaki-Nasser. Instead of pretending to wrestle with the tragedy of longing to belong, what magic might exist in realizing that time can be as flexible as we are? Inspired by Japan’s 72 micro-seasons calendar and Black power organizers and philosophers Grace Lee Boggs and Jimmy Boggs famous question: “What time is it on the clock of the world?” Making Time asks viewers to see time as a material and a starting point to reimagine structures, institutions, ourselves, and our relationships.
Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, October 7th from 3 - 6PM, including, refreshments and drinks from Saffron Cowboy.
For more information please RSVP through the One Institute/CIRCA website.
